Facilities Maintenance Technician

Pareto are currently looking for an Facilities Maintenance Technician to join us on a permanent basis.

This role reports into the Facilities Manager based on site.
Work Environment:
This role requires a variety of tasks, from hands-on maintenance work to occasional office tasks.
The position may require some evening or weekend work based on client needs.
Key Skills:
- Must be able to work unsupervised to a high quality.
- Great communicator for both internal and external stakeholders
- Have a good eye for innovation and improvement of existing systems and processes
- Must have great knowledge of Microsoft Windows based systems
- General understanding of HVAC systems within a multi-tenanted space
- General plumbing knowledges
- Experience of monitoring and use of a BMS system.
Main Responsibilities:
- Carry out regular and periodic inspections (including all statutory, mandatory requirements) to maintain the efficiency and safety of M&E installations including fire safety, firefighting equipment and security systems. Liaise with Facilities Manager over specific requirements.
- Support the arrangements in place to enable subcontractors to undertake routine and emergency breakdown maintenance both in and out of hours.
- Assist the Facilities Manager in setting maintenance priorities.
- Assist with the preparation delegated planned maintenance projects. Supervise/ check works on completion.
- Undertake other works of a similar nature as required and directed by the Facilities Manager.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain clear documentation of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
- Identify potential hazards and report them to the Facilities Manager.
- Fix issues related to doors, windows, locks, and general building structure.
- Conduct minor repairs on furniture, appliances, and equipment.
- Help maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Respond to urgent repair needs and assist with emergency maintenance requests.
- Set up rooms and spaces for events, meetings, and special activities (e.g., arranging furniture).
- Assist the Facilities Coordinator with any Adhoc requests.
- Undertake other works of a similar nature as required and directed by the Facilities Manager.
