Finance Assistant

Location: Chipping Norton

Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE

Pareto are currently looking for a Finance Assistant  to join us on a permanent basis to be based in our Chipping Norton Head Office. This role will include potential flexible working as well as including monthly travel in to London to support the management team with finance related activities.

We are looking for a financial expert who fully understands the financial process from cradle to grave. We are looking for someone that can complete works to the highest levels of detail and someone with the intellect to help up develop our systems to ensure maximum efficiency.

The person needs to be a team player, with good communication skills who will always go above and beyond to achieve what is required. This role will report to the Finance Director.

Pareto FM is currently in the top 15 fastest growing SME’s in the UK. This role will give maximum exposure to all aspects of the finance system and ensure the successful candidate experience in several areas of finance. 


·        Completion of monthly accruals, deferrals and prepayments to enable creation of accurate management accounts.

·        Completion of management account creation including quality check for accuracy.

·        Liaising with the management and senior management team to ensure they understand the management accounts and assist to rectify any errors.

·        Preparation of various reports to send to managers and senior managers throughout the month. This includes preparation of data for month end billing of additional services.

·        Once per month visit to London to run month end billing of additional services.

·        Raising of base planned works invoices on a monthly basis.

·        Working with client’s finance team to collect relevant purchase orders to include on relevant Pareto invoices.

·        Running regular aged debt report and chasing through aged debt with clients finance teams.

·        Verifying payment runs which have been inputted by the Pareto admin team to ensure accuracy.

·        Act as the first point of contact for all relevant finance queries across the business.

·        Report to the Finance Director on a daily basis.

·        Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers

·        Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary


The successful Finance Assistant will:

  • Have a Finance Degree or relevant qualification 
  • Minimum 2 years experience in running payroll
  • Have exceptional attention to detail
  • Be organised with great attention to detail
  • Be able to work individually and as part of a team
  • Be proficient with Microsoft 365
  • Be proficient in the finance software Xero
