Pareto FM are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Project Manager to join the Northern Team, reporting directly to the Head of Projects.
This role will lead and support the delivery of a wide range of projects across operational sites, with a particular focus on facilities, construction, fit outs, engineering, and infrastructure improvements.
Operating within a fast-paced 24/7 environment consisting of office and manufacturing spaces, this role requires strong project planning, stakeholder management, and communication skills to successfully deliver projects around live operational activity.
This is primarily a Monday to Friday role, although occasional evening or weekend working may be required to support project delivery, contractor activities, or operational requirements.
The Role
As Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery is safe, compliant, on time, and within budget.
You’ll work closely with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and operational teams to ensure projects are planned effectively with minimal disruption to business operations.
This role is ideal for someone with experience delivering projects within Facilities Management, Construction, Building Services, or Fit Out environments.
What You’ll Be Doing
Developing project objectives, scopes, and delivery strategies alongside Project Sponsors and the Head of Projects
Managing projects from concept through to completion across operational sites
Coordinating consultants, contractors, and professional advisors throughout project delivery
Managing budgets, forecasts, project costs, and expenditure tracking
Preparing project reports, business cases, and capital expenditure approvals
Developing project programmes and timelines around operational constraints
Identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Ensuring projects comply with health & safety legislation and CDM regulations
Managing statutory approvals, permits, and compliance documentation
Leading fit outs, infrastructure upgrades, office moves, and engineering projects
Supporting continuous improvement and lessons learned across the wider projects function
Providing leadership and support to the wider projects team when required
What We’re Looking For
Essential
Extensive project management experience with Prince2 qualification (or equivalent)
Proven experience within Facilities Management, Construction, or Building Services sectors
Experience delivering fit outs, relocations, infrastructure, or engineering projects
Strong understanding of budgeting, governance, and cost control
Knowledge of CDM Regulations and health & safety compliance
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Full UK driving licence
Desirable
Experience using AutoCAD, BricsCAD, or SketchUp
Understanding of BIM / ISO19650
Experience working to ISO standards including ISO45001 / ISO14001 / ISO27001
IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
Professional membership such as MRICS or APM
