Part time cleaner
We established Pareto Facilities Management to create the most service focused, customer centric, facilities management company in the UK.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and flexible Weekday Cleaning Operative to join Pareto FM, providing essential cleaning support at one of our client's unique sites.
This is a varied role where you'll help maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across a busy environment that includes animal facilities, outdoor areas and operational buildings.
You'll provide cover during periods of staff absence and annual leave, helping ensure cleaning services continue to run smoothly and consistently.
Unlike a typical cleaning position, this role offers the opportunity to work in a distinctive environment where attention to detail, care and a strong awareness of health and safety are particularly important.
If you take pride in your work, enjoy being part of a team and are happy working in different environments, we'd love to hear from you.

We value the contribution every colleague makes and believe in creating a supportive, inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.
What You'll Do
As a Cleaning Operative, you'll support the delivery of cleaning services across the site, ensuring all areas are maintained to the required standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out daily and scheduled cleaning tasks in line with agreed specifications and instructions.
Providing flexible cover for colleagues during holidays, sickness and other absences.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across internal and external areas.
Working safely in environments that may include animal houses, enclosures and operational facilities.
Using cleaning equipment, materials and products safely and correctly.
Ensuring cleaning supplies and equipment are properly stored, maintained and cared for.
Following site-specific health and safety procedures, including any access restrictions and secure locking arrangements.
Wearing appropriate PPE and maintaining a professional appearance.
Reporting any cleaning issues, hazards or concerns to the Site Manager.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, contractors and client teams to maintain excellent service standards.
Supporting less experienced colleagues when required.
Responding positively to changing priorities and reasonable requests from the site team.
What You'll Bring
We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking and committed to delivering a high standard of work.
Essential skills and qualities:
A good understanding of workplace health and safety.
A reliable and punctual approach to work.
Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleaning standards.
Good communication skills and a professional, respectful manner.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to provide cover when required.
Willingness to follow site procedures, instructions and safety requirements.
Confidence working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.
It would be beneficial if you have:
Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning.
Experience using cleaning machinery and specialist equipment.
Experience working in environments with additional hygiene or safety requirements.
A Unique Working Environment
This isn't your typical cleaning role.
You'll be working across a site that may include animal facilities, outdoor spaces and specialist operational areas.
Depending on your duties, you may encounter animals, noise, dust, dirt and changing weather conditions.
You'll be expected to follow strict safety procedures, particularly when working near animal enclosures, machinery or restricted areas.
Your work will contribute to maintaining a clean, safe and well-presented environment for colleagues, visitors and the animals on site.
